Spicy Fish Stew with Shredded Cabbage

Fish is versatile and it creates a sufficient yumminess depending on your preference and preparation. 
Here are the ingredients to prepare and steps to follow for this simple and tasty stew.
12 kilo of fish,
 oil; 
3 large tomatoes, sliced; 
1 medium sized onion, cut into small pieces; 
3 cloves of garlic, minced; 
1 teaspoon, crushed black pepper;
 4 pcs. of red chili, cut;
 1/4 cup of green onion; salt (desired amount);
 half sized magi cube; 
2 cups of water 
 1 cup of shredded cabbage
 
Steps:
1. Clean your fish (mackerel or tuna) well and sprinkle enough salt. Leave the fish for ten minutes to absorb the salt in. Limit the amount of salt used to avoid too much salty.
2. Heat the frying pan and add cooking oil. Fry your fish until it becomes brownish.
3. How to prepare the stew: Heat the frying pan and add a little amount of oil in it. Saute the garlic, onion and tomatoes until their natural oil comes out. Put the fried fish and stir fry for a while then add 2 cups of water and bring it into boiling for five minutes. Add other ingredients such as pepper, chili, Maggi cube and cabbage. Boil it for another 3 minutes. Add the green onion to garnish. After a minute, take your stew and put it in a serving bowl.

Manicotti Pasta Delight con Chicken Adobo
This menu is made out of my own style. It gives delight to me as an optional source of carbohydrates intake. Here are the simplest ways how to prepare it for five servings. 

Ingredients for boiling the pasta:                                                     
500 grams Manicotti pasta
2 tablespoons of cooking oil
2 tables spoons of salt
Procedure: Pour the water with salt and oil in a pot and bring it to a boiling point. Add the pasta and leave the pot open for mixing every now and then. Cooking time of pasta is 15-20 minutes.
Ingredients for chicken adobo:

10 pieces of chicken thigh, medium sized, washed properly and marinated in a soy sauce for 10 minutes
I large onion, sliced
5 cloves of garlic, pounded and chopped
1 tablespoon of black pepper powder
1 tablespoon of Olive oil
1 cube of Maggi flavor
2 cups of water
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
Salt for desired taste
Spring onion, cut into opted sized
Procedure: Clean the chicken thighs thoroughly to get rid of the stinky smell and drain them for a while before marinating for 10 minutes. Heat the pot and fill it with Olive oil. Sauté the garlic and add the onion and fry until brownish. Put the chicken meat and fry it for 10 minutes. Add the soy sauce, Maggi cube and the black pepper powder. Mix the meat and add water. Cook it for another 15 minutes and leave a little amount of stew. Add salt according to your own taste. To serve, put enough pasta on a plate and make the chicken adobo together with a little amount of stew as topping garnished with onion and ketchup (as your option).

RIVER FISH with POTATO


Ingredients:

1- medium sized fish cut in 5 parts

4- medium sized potatoes cut in halves

1- medium sized carrot

Lemon grass, chopped

2- large tomatoes, sliced

1- large onion, sliced

Garlic , minced

5- pcs. of red bell pepper, sliced

Spring onions, sliced

Celery, sliced

Fresh Chilli, minced

Salt for desired taste

2- cups of water

1- maggi cube
For five servings only: Prepare the pot and put the fish in it, arranging the parts properly. Add all sliced ingredients in this order: potatoes, carrots, lemon grass, tomatoes, onion, garlic,  celery, red bell pepper and chilli. Then put water to boil and add salt for your needed taste. Boil it for 30 minutes. Once cooked, garnish it with spring onion. The fish and potato have a distinct yummy taste. For sure, the stinky smell of fish is gone. Try it at once and you’ll love it most.

 SPICY FISH STEW

      Many of us love fish dishes such as fried fish, fish soup, sweet and sour fish and the favorite one which is the fish stew. This is one of the favorite Filipino foods. In the Philippines, fish is a common dish among us, and we have many ways how to make fish delicious. Some menus with fish are variedly prepared with vegetables or just simply a hot spicy sauce. Here are what you should have to cook a fish stew.  
      Ingredients are 6 tbsp olive oil;1 tsp black pepper; 1 cup of chopped onions; 2 large garlic cloves, chopped; 2/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped; 1 cup of fresh chopped tomato (about 1 medium sized tomato); 2 tsp of tomato paste; a cup of water; 6 pieces of fish sliced for serving; red pepper and green pepper bells, sliced; and salt. 
     How to cook: Fry the fish in a hot oil until a bit brownish. Then remove the fish from the pan. Saute the garlic, and onion for three minutes. Add the black pepper, chopped tomato, tomato paste and parsley and cook for 3 minutes longer. Add the fried fish and water, and cook for 10 minutes. Add the green and red sliced pepper bells. Add salt to taste and put it in a bowl to serve.

PORK AFRITDA con CURRY


      A Filipino delicacy and all time favorite food, Pork Afritada is one of those tomato sauce-based stews which was first introduced in the Philippines by the Spaniards. Aside from being famous in my country, it is normally a main menu during wedding celebrations held especially in the urban communities. This is a special dish of every common or average-income Filipino family or even those who want to eat pork once or twice a month. As an alternative, chicken afritada is also another taste-one of a kind. If a Filipino works abroad, this is the kind of dish that is certainly prepared in case he or she misses Philippines, other than "pinakbet' and "chicken-pork adobo". Thus, "sariling atin" is everywhere in the globe as long as one is cooking his or her own native country's dishes. As for me, I would like to share this modified Filipino dish which is Pork Afritada con Curry. What are the ingredients? The dish I prepared is good for five persons. 
     Here are the ingredients: 
     Half kilo of pork tenderloins cut into serving pieces;1 tsp. salt; 1 tsp. soy sauce;1/2 pork flavored magi cube;1/8 tsp.white pepper and 1/8 black pepper; 3 cloves garlic, minced ; 1 onion, minced; 1 and 1/2 cup water; 1/2 cup fresh tomatoes, sliced; half cup carrots, sliced;1 red bell pepper, sliced; 1 green bell pepper, sliced; yellow curry; 2 tbsp. fine breadcrumbs and vegetable oil.
      How to cook: Saute the garlic and onion until brownish in a pan. Add the tomatoes and make sure that natural sauce comes out. Put the pork together with salt, soy sauce, magi cube, and black pepper. Mix and saute all of them evenly for 5 minutes and add water together with white pepper. Boil it for 20 minutes. Then add the yellow curry to produce good smell, together with carrots, red and green pepper bells and bread crumbs. Wait for another 5 minutes. So, be ready to take it from fire and enjoy your special dish.

A SIMPLE RECIPE FOR A HEARTY MEAL: SPICY SALAD SARDINES







         For emergency case, we grab a can of sardines kept at the cupboard. However, canned food like sardines can save us from a long preparation of food that we always want to eat. Time is fast. What will you do if you need to hurry for work. Guys, never underestimate the fish in tomato sauce inside a can. Rich in protein, sardines can be one menu if you want to try some modification. Let us try my menu to satisfy your meal-breakfast, lunch or dinner. Here are simple and fun steps to do! No heating involved but you get hot-spicy salad sardines for the day!
         First cut in small pieces one medium sized onion, three small garlic pieces, lemon grass, two small sized tomatoes, ginger, 5 pieces of red and green chilli and cucumber. Set aside these ingredients. Second, put the sardines in the plate and add the sliced ingredients, carefully arranging them to produce the most attractive appearance. Third, add salt according to your taste and squeeze the lemon into it to balance the taste. Lastly, mix the ingredients and sardines. PRESTO! You get what you want! Enjoy your hot and spicy salad sardines and have a maximum level of appetite!

SPICY GROUND PORK  with POTATO 
and TOMATO SAUCE

      This Filipino dish is easy to prepare. Let me share with you the home made food I have prepared for four persons.Spicy Ground Pork with Potato and Tomato Sauce is one of a kind.The more you taste, the more you crave for additional servings. You may have ground beef as your alternative.
      Here are the ingredients that you need: 




      Half kilo of ground pork;1 tsp. salt; 1 tsp. soy sauce;1 pork-flavored magi cube;1/8 tsp.white pepper and 1/8 black pepper; 5 cloves garlic, minced ; 1 onion, minced; 1 and 1/2 cup water; 3/4 cup fresh tomatoes, sliced; half cup carrots, sliced; 1 cup potato, cut in small pieces;1 red bell pepper, sliced; 1 green bell pepper, sliced; and vegetable oil. How to cook it: Saute the garlic and onion until brownish in a pan. Add the tomatoes and make sure that natural sauce comes out for good taste. Put the ground pork together with salt, soy sauce, magi cube, and black pepper. Mix and saute all of them evenly for 5 minutes and add water together with white pepper. Add the sliced potatoes and boil it for 20 minutes. Then add carrots, red and green pepper bells. Wait for another 5 minutes. Put the cooked menu in a bowl.

Yam wun sen (glass noodle salad-Thai style) with shrimps
     A very refreshing and an excellent Thai dish is perfect enough to give you a hot and spicy sensation in your tongue. This needs a precise mixture of a few ingredients to have a good tasty and satisfying dish for lunch. What do you need to complete your yam wun sen or noodle salad? For five servings, here are your ingredients: 200 grams glass noodles soaked in cold water for ten minutes and drained; one cup of fresh shrimps; 4 cloves garlic, minced; i onion, sliced small; 10 pieces of chili, sliced thin; 2 stalks of Chinese celery, chopped; 3 tablespoons os fish sauce; 3 tablespoons of lime juice; 5 tomatoes, sliced; and handful of coriander, chopped.

     Procedure: Boil the shrimps in water until cooked and take them out of the water. Pour hot water over the noodles through a strainer, enough to cook the noodles. Mix the noodles and shrimps well. In a bowl, mix the noodles and shrimps with garlic, onion, chili, celery, fish sauce, lime juice, and tomatoes. taste depends on your tolerance. Garnish your salad with coriander. Presto! You have yam wun sen served.Enjoy your meal, folks!

The yumminess of fried fish omelet
Are you a lover of fish? How many ways could you cook fish? For lovers of fish dish, there might be 20 ways how to prepare a delicious stuff out of fish. For dinner, experience the yumminess of fried fish omelet with this simple method along with the combination of few ingredients to satisfy your repertoire. This is good for 4 persons to share.
Ingredients: 1/4 kg. of fish, sliced in cubes; 5 cloves of minced garlic; 2 regular size of tomatoes, sliced; 2 pieces of eggs; 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder; 1 onion, chopped; red chili, sliced thin; salt
and pepper powder; and oil.
Procedure: (1) Clean and wash the fish thoroughly. Evenly mix it with turmeric powder, salt and pepper. (2) After few minutes, fry the fish in deep frying fan. (3) After turning to light brown, remove the fish from the frying pan. (4) Heat the oil and sauté the garlic, onion, tomato and chili. Wait until these are cooked and their natural oil comes out. (5) Put the fried fish and mix with the other ingredients in the pan. Add the beaten egg. Then continue to mix until cooked.

BEEF MEAT in TOMATO SAUCE

     A satisfying meal for Sunday. This recipe is good enough to share with four persons. It is another style of cooking beef tenderly and deliciously in fresh tomato sauce. So, try this one to make a difference! 

     Ingredients are: 1/4 kl. of beef meat, sliced in two inches long; 2 pieces of potatoes, sliced; 1 medium sized onion, chopped; 5 cloves of garlic, chopped; two teaspoons of soy sauce; 1/2 cup of tomatoes; sliced; 1 teaspoon black powder pepper; 1/4 cup of spring onion, cut in small size for ganishing; salt; oil and remaining water.

     Procedure: (1) Mix the beef with soy sauce and black powder pepper. Let the mixture stay for ten minutes and boil it in a pot until it becomes tender. Once the beef is done, take it from the pot and drain. Separate the remaining water. (2). In a pan with oil, saute the garlic, and onion until they become brownish. Then add the tomatoes and wait until the natural oil and sauce come out. Add the potato and cook it for 10 minutes. Then add the beef and mix it well. Leave it on fire for ten minutes. Put a little water (remaining water) if necessary together with the salt according to your taste. After, you take it from the pan and garnish it with spring onion.

GROUND BEEF WITH CRUNCHY PEANUTS

     The most versatile kind of meat is the ground meat because you have many alternatives how to cook it such as meat balls, meat flakes, beef soup, etc. For me, I have my own style in making a simple recipe out of it! I call it my personal dish, GROUND BEEF WITH CRUNCHY PEANUTS. So try this one for a change. Variety of dishes can make your kitchen table as the best place for your family and friends. Here is how to prepare it (for five persons):
     Ingredients: 1/2 kilo of ground beef; 5 garlic cloves, minced; 1/4 cup of carrot, sliced in small cubes; 1 big onion; minced; 1/2 cup of spring onion, cut in small size; 2 green pepper bells, sliced; 2 red pepper bells, sliced; 1 tsp. black pepper; 2 tsp oil; 2 tbsps of soy sauce; 1/4 cup of half roasted peanuts, water and salt.
     How to cook: Saute the garlic and onion in oil and make sure they become brownish. Add you ground beef and fry it for  7 minutes. Add your soy sauce,black pepper and water enough to be boiled and to be tender. Make it boil for 10 minutes until there is only a small amount of water left. After this, put the carrots, and peanuts; then add the red and green pepper bells.After five minutes, add salt according to your taste and put the spring onion to garnish your dish.

SPICY CHICKEN BBQ in a row

This is the most loved food of kids; adults too take a share in the "too much liking" of barbecue chicken on a stick. Although there are varied ways how to do it excellently, everyone has a style which makes it unique and tasty. Here are what you need for a simple recipe:


For 5 persons:
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon of black pepper in powder
2 table spoons of Maggi Savor sauce
Red hot chilli, crushed
2 table spoons of BBQ sauce
1 kilo of  chicken breast, sliced in serving size
Salt for your favorite taste
Fine sticks

Procedure:
1. Take a clean bowl and put your sliced chicken mixed with salt into it.
2. Put the garlic, and BBQ sauce; then, mix them together.
3. Add the 2 table spoons of Maggi Savor sauce and let it stay for 10 minutes.
4. Add the teaspoon of black pepper together with the crushed chilli.
5. Leave the marinated chicken for another 10 minutes.
6. Put the chicken meat on a stick and grill it until cooked.Avoid burning it with fire. Let the heat of charcoal cook it slowly by turning it moderately.
